We would aim to cover many topics in these sessions such as HIV, sexual health, information on sexually transmitted infections, prevention, treatment, screening etc.

HIVand Aids can affect people in all walks of like. It may be that you have the disease, or have a family member affected, or just want more information on the topic.
Ireland has the best treatment in the world.
With treatment, people can live a very good quality of life. Yet, we have reason to believe that this disease can be viewed very negatively as people coming from countries where treatment options don't exist have seen poor outcomes with regard to the illness.

We wish to remove false information, break down stigma, allay fears, and provide information on prevention, screening, treatment, on any aspect of sexual health.

We wish to provide this service in a setting and atmosphere where residents will feel welcome to attend, safe and in a format that is beneficial to them.

A Request to Residents!
With this in mind, we wish the residents to advise us on what type of information they want. They can suggest anything and don't even have to sign their suggestions. A general suggestion box will be left at the Eglinton reception.
For example, it will be open to men and women. Do people want a mixed group, men only, women only, small groups, big groups, topics to be covers etc etc.

Diabetes mellitus (DM) and obesity affect large parts of the population in the United States and around the world. These disorders are among the most common risk factors for erectile dysfunction (ED), because of their effects on the vasculature and the hormonal milieu.
Using the search terms erectile dysfunction, endothelial dysfunction, hypogonadism, diabetes, and obesity, a systematic review of the available literature in the PubMed database was conducted. Relevant English-language publications (to August 2008) were identified.

ED is highly prevalent in men with both DM and obesity, and may act as a harbinger for cardiovascular disease (CVD) in this high-risk population. In addition to male hypogonadism and macrovascular disease, endothelial dysfunction is central to the connection between the metabolic syndrome and ED. Conversely, improved glycemic control and weight loss have been found to improve erectile function.

ED is very prevalent in men with DM and obesity. It is increasingly being recognized as an early clinical indicator and motivator for patients with CVD. The role of pharmacologic ED treatments in improving endothelial function is currently being investigated.

Don't expect HP's webOS 2.0 to be tied to an HVGA screen for long -- come "early 2011," the company will introduce a number of "really interesting new form factors," including tablets and phones. HP's Scott Miles demoed it earlier this week by playing around with a tiny, single-pane portrait email application in the desktop version of Chrome... and then maximized the browser window to reveal a fully-functioning three-pane landscape layout suited for a large tablet screen. Representatives stressed that the email app was a proof of concept, but Enyo's here to stay, replacing the earlier Mojo starting in 2011 and slated to be available in early 2011 via developer SDK. High on Drugs

This morning I had had enough of this fatigue and crap. So I took some steroids. Dexmethesome or something like it. Has nothing to do with meth, at least not that I know of. I got these pills from Melvin Friesen. Sure, why not swap medication? After all, he gave them to me. I can still see value when I see value. So I took one this morning, and it worked. At least, I had energy.

Hey if drug users can share needles, cancer patients should be able to share medication.

It's just drugs, and you know, they have a drug should this drug from Melvin give me adverse side effects. They would just give me another drug.

Besides, Mel does not need these pills anymore, so let's see if I can use them. It's called recycling.

I did have a good day of good energy, and a fabulous, fantasticanus, marvelous visit with my adviser at Prov Sem. I shall write about that soon.

I had a busy day, and I thank Jesus for the energy I was given today to accomplish my work.

You may chuckle at this, but I think I will take one of Mel's pills tomorrow again.

Sexual Health and Yoga

Despite the abundance of non empirical data suggesting that yoga and sex are not only linked but potentially mutually beneficial, very little research has been conducted to substantiate these claims. Our careful review of the literature revealed only one controlled study of yoga as a treatment for sexual dysfunction.

Dhikav, Karmarker, Gupta, and Anand (2007) successfully treated Indian men with premature ejaculation with yoga. Premature ejaculation traditionally falls into the medical domain and is most often treated with serotonergic anti-depressants (Waldinger, 2008). The 68 men who participated in the study were offered a choice between the yoga-based, nonpharmacological treatment and the more traditional pharmacological intervention fluoxetine (Prozac). In the yoga group, men were given a prescribed set of ¯asanas and pr¯an¯ay¯amas to practice for 1 hour each day. Differential relaxation techniques, as well as perineal and pubococcygeal

exercises, were included in the program. Notably, there was no component of sex therapy or sex education to men receiving the yoga intervention. Remarkably, all 38 men participating in the yoga group had both subjective and statistically significant improvements in their intra ejaculatory latencies. There were no side effects or dropouts in this treatment arm. These data provide an excellent example of the potential usefulness of yoga as a nonpharmacological treatment for sexual disorders, and in a compelling way, suggest that yoga can be as effective as traditional western medical approaches.
